Library and Information Services
Downtown Campus Library
The library, located in the Learner Centre, is an essential part of the NorQuest community, providing innovation and excellence in the delivery of library services and resources both face-to-face and at a distance. We champion the development of information literacy skills in our diverse college community.
The library houses a collection of 48,000 print books, 24,000 ebooks, 100 print magazine subscriptions, and 6,200 videos and DVDs. We provide study space, AV viewing space, and local and national newspapers. The library also provides access to fulltext electronic databases and research guides to assist students with their assignments whether they are on campus or at home.
All students and staff are welcome to stop by the library’s circulation and reference desk for an introduction to services and borrowing policies. Library staff work with students in class groups and one-onone, instructing them on how best to find and use information for their assignments.
Library services are available to all students and staff, regardless of location. This includes the delivery of books to learning sites, online reference assistance, and access to our electronic resources.
The branch library at Westmount campus has a circulating collection and study space to support the programs offered at this location.
NorQuest College is participating in the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library initiative provided through the support of Alberta Advanced Education. This initiative gives NorQuest students and staff access to a greatly expanded set of licensed digital materials and newly created collections of unique digitized Alberta content.
