Program Overview
The LINC Youth Saturday program is designed for immigrant students of high school age to help them settle in Canada. The unique curriculum combines classroom study with organized recreational activities and field trips. The combination of computer-assisted language training, classroom learning, and organized activities helps students develop the practical English language and functional skills they need for daily living.
Classes are on Saturday and are three hours in length.
Career Potential
Students who complete the program will have the language skills, confidence, and settlement and community knowledge they need to successfully integrate into Canadian society and pursue further education.
Admission Requirements (2011-2012)
- A permanent resident, a person in the process of becoming a permanent resident, or a convention refugee
- 16 to 19 years of age
- Registered in a high school
- Canadian Language Benchmarks assessment
- Assessed within LINC 1 to LINC 4 levels
- Parental consent required for under 18 years of age

Funding Your Education
This program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Tuition is free to those who qualify.
