Program Overview

ESL Bridge to Business Careers is an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare you for success in a business career environment. Upon successful completion of this program, you will meet the English language requirement for NorQuest College Business Careers programs: Administrative Professional, Business Administration, and Hospital Unit Clerk.

Program highlights include:

  • Curriculum of high interest and relevance to office professionals
  • Intercultural communication for the Canadian workplace
  • Computer labs and computer instruction
  • Oral presentations and project-based learning

Career Potential

Graduates will have the language communication skills and confidence to help them achieve success in any post-secondary business course or program.

Transferability

After successfully completing the Bridge to Business Careers program, learners meet the English language requirements for all Business Careers program at NorQuest College.

Admission Requirements (2011-2012)

  • Minimum of high school education in your first language
  • CLB 6/7, with at least 2 scores of 7 and no score lower than 6
  • Program interview with an academic advisor to clarify educational and vocational goals. Please contact the Prospective Student Office at 780.644.6590

  • Minimum of high school education in your first language (Proof will be requested in the form of a transcript, certificate, or academic record.)
  • CLB 6/7, with at least 2 scores of 7 and no score lower than 6
  • Program interview with an academic advisor to clarify educational and vocational goals*
