Program Overview
ESL Bridge to Business Careers is an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare you for success in a business career environment. Upon successful completion of this program, you will meet the English language requirement for NorQuest College Business Careers programs: Administrative Professional, Business Administration, and Hospital Unit Clerk.
ESL Bridge to Business Careers is appropriate for ESL students who have a high intermediate level of language proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmarks 6/7). You will take an online course from the Administrative Professional program while registered in BBC.
- Reading material focuses on subjects of interest to the office professional and is designed to increase both reading speed and comprehension.
- Students learn about the office environment and culture in Canada.
- Computer labs and computer instruction are included.
- Oral presentations increase fluency and confidence.
Career Potential
Graduates will have the language communication skills and confidence to help them achieve success in any post-secondary business course or program.
Transferability
After successfully completing the Bridge to Business Careers program and achieving a pass grade in the CLB 7 exit test or the Workplace Language Assessment (WLA), learners meet the English language requirement for all Business Careers programs at NorQuest College.

Credential
After successfully completing this program, graduates will be awarded a NorQuest ESL Bridge to Business Careers certificate.
