Program Overview
The Aboriginal Policing and Security certificate program is a 10-month post-secondary program that can lead to further learning or employment in the fields of law enforcement and security.
Career Potential
Graduates have excellent career potential in a variety of security and law enforcement fields. This program is designed to help students meet the entrance requirements for Alberta policing agencies and for federal agencies such as the RCMP and Correctional Service of Canada.
Transferability
Some courses transfer to NorQuest's Aboriginal Community Support Worker program. Consult with the program chair, Human Service Careers for transfer options.
Course work completed at another post-secondary institution may be equivalent to course work at NorQuest College. To be considered for transfer credit, a formal assessment must be made. Request forms may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar.
