Program Overview
If you are a caring person who likes to help people, a career as a health care aide may be your calling. This 16-week preparation program is designed to help you gain the knowledge and skills you will need to be successful in the Health Care Aide certificate program.
Career Potential
Graduates of the Health Care Aide program can look forward to a career in continuing care facilities, hospitals, private care, group homes, and a variety of other health-care facilities.
Transferability
You will complete the prerequisite upgrading courses to prepare you for the certificate program.
Admission Requirements
- English Language Arts at the Grade 9 level or Humanities Prep 1 (HUMN 1911) or Humanities Prep 2 (HUMN 1912)
- If you do not have these prerequisites, you may complete a pre-admission assessment.
Credential
Upon successfully completing this program, graduates will be awarded a NorQuest Prep for Health Care Aide certificate.
