Program Overview
Prep for Business Careers is a 16-week program designed to prepare you for post-secondary study in a Business Careers program: Administrative Professional, Hospital Unit Clerk, or Business Administration.
Career Potential
Graduates of business careers programs can apply for jobs in business office administration settings, accounting firms, dental offices, and hospitals, depending on the area of specialization chosen.
Transferability
Prep for Business Careers graduates can apply to any of our Business Careers programs.
Admission Requirements (2011-2012)
- English Language Arts 20-1 or English Language Arts 20-2
- Any one of high school prep math courses (MATH 1905, MATH 1430, MATH 1460, or MATH 1490), Pure Math 10, Applied Math 10, or Math 24
- If you do not have these prerequisites, you may complete a pre-admission assessment.
Admission Requirements (2012-2013)
- English Language Arts 20-1 or English Language Arts 20-2
- Mathematics 10C (Pure Mathematics 10/010) or Mathematics 20-2 (Applied Mathematics 20/020)
- If you do not have these prerequisites, you may complete a pre-admission assessment
Credential
After successfully completing this program, graduates will be awarded a NorQuest Prep for Business Careers certificate.
