For me nursing is not merely a job; it’s what I was destined to do. Some days I feel nursing gives me more than I could have ever imagined. My hard work, dedication and tenacity drove me to exceed my own academic expectations and I am proud to say that I have been able to maintain a 90% average. I was awarded the Louise McKinney Scholarship which recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the form of the program’s highest grade point average and am thrilled and deeply honoured for the recognition. Giving care that shows the art of nursing is the greatest privilege of being a nurse. NorQuest taught me how to incorporate care and compassion into my own nursing practice.
