Message from the President
Welcome to NorQuest College!
NorQuest College is your community college. With access to an increasing number of post-secondary diploma and certificate programs, combined with solid foundational learning such as language training and academic upgrading courses, we are here to meet your needs no matter where you start from or where you live.
For more than 45 years, NorQuest has provided students with the opportunity to succeed in a range of career programs in health and human services, and business and industry. We are continually expanding the number of diploma and certificate programs that we offer and as demand for our programs grows each year, access to our foundational and bridging programs remains a priority: adult literacy, academic upgrading, English as a Second Language (ESL), Aboriginal education, and learner supports for students with disabilities.
NorQuest offers meaningful educational opportunities in a supportive environment where learners from diverse cultural, educational and social backgrounds can achieve their personal and career goals and enhance the quality of their lives. The College provides flexible alternatives such as career laddering, recognition of prior learning, part-time career study and distance education.
By enrolling at NorQuest, you have opened the door to new opportunities—opportunities that will make it possible for you to achieve your full potential. NorQuest graduates are some of the most sought after graduates in Alberta and are the province’s front-line workers. I’m proud to say that the College-wide employment rate for NorQuest graduates is over 97 per cent. If you are committed to succeed, we are committed to helping you gain the skills and confidence you need to be successful in today’s workplace!
NorQuest is Alberta’s largest community college with campuses in Edmonton, Wetaskiwin and Stony Plain. We also have community learning centres in Hinton, Edson, Jasper, Whitecourt, Westlock, Drayton Valley and Camrose, and provide online distance learning in more than 200 communities in Canada. The Alberta government has designated NorQuest as the community college for the Edmonton region, from Camrose to Jasper and Drayton Valley to Whitecourt.
At NorQuest College, our students are our number one priority. Through the excellence of our programs and the dedication and commitment of our faculty and support staff, we take pride in providing about 10,000 students each year with the opportunity to accomplish their academic and career goals.
Thank you for exploring the possibilities at NorQuest College.
