EDMONTON–A new book by an Edmonton author and NorQuest College instructor explores the ravages of war, the challenges of leaving one's homeland and the triumph of the human spirit. An official launch reception and book signing for To A Third Country is being held on May 31 at NorQuest's Edmonton Downtown Campus, Main Building (10215 108 Street). The event starts at 7 p.m.

NorQuest College partners for first Executive Forum in North America

EDMONTON The Print Media Academy (PMA) of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany) and NorQuest College's Centre for Excellence in Print Media are hosting an Executive Forum in Banff from September 28 to October 1, 2011. It marks the first time Heidelberg's Print Media Academy has hosted an Executive Forum event in North America and the first time the company has partnered with another organization to host a forum.

Empowering Aboriginal learners key to Literacy Pilot Project

EDMONTON Enoch Cree Nation and NorQuest College today officially launched a Literacy Pilot Project through Yekawiciy Employment Services center at Enoch's new urban office (2nd floor, 17608 - 103 Avenue). Students in the project focus on improving language arts and math skills to help further their educational opportunities and prepare for entering the workforce.

Avanti donates $185,000 in Print MIS software to NorQuest
Print media graduates benefit with enhanced workforce skills and industry-leading technology expertise

EDMONTON and TORONTO – Avanti Computer Systems Limited is donating its entire suite of management information software (MIS) tools, valued at $185,000, to the Centre for Excellence in Print Media at NorQuest College in Edmonton, Alberta. This software will increase the technical and business skills of students graduating from NorQuest’s Digital Graphics Communications Diploma program. In addition, Avanti’s contribution will expand the Centre’s training resources available to the Western Canadian printing industry. [+] more
