Accident Investigation for Companies

8 hours

This is a beginner course to help companies protect their interests in case of collision. It is designed for drivers and supervisors. With the proper information given to your insurance company you may eliminate a claim against your company and cutting your operating costs or out-of-pocket expenses.

Air Brakes and ABS Brakes

This course is approved by the provincial government and can result in endorsement, which is a compulsory requirement for anyone who operates air brake equipped vehicles. This course will provide operators with the basic knowledge and understanding of how an air brake system works to ensure maintenance and effective operation. Students must have their own vehicle.

Mechanics and drivers of air equipped vehicles will learn the proper way to adjust and install automatic slacks.

Learn the proper techniques and safety procedures for operating a chainsaw.  This is a four-hour course.

Driver Training Class-1

In this course you will learn the following:

  • Basic habits
  • Rules of the road
  • Turning corners
  • Shifting ability
  • Load securement
  • Use of mirrors and signals
  • Circle check
  • Parking
  • Proper backing techniques
  • Brake adjustment

Prerequisites:

  • Class 5 drivers licence (cannot be Graduated Drivers Licence)
  • Must have Air Brake Certificate

Driver Training Class-3

In this course you will learn the following:

  • Basic habits
  • Clutch control
  • Rules of the road
  • Turning corners
  • Shifting ability
  • Lane changes and positioning
  • Use of mirrors and signals
  • Load securement
  • Circle check
  • Parking
  • Preparation of Class 3 road test

Prerequisites:

  • Class 5 drivers licence (cannot be Graduated Drivers Licence)

Flag Person Training

Learn the correct safety flagging procedures to protect workers and the general public who come into contact with a construction zone.

Forklift Level 1 Certification

PRTD-1064
If you have never operated a forklift, this introductory course allows you to learn about forklift safety and gain valuable driver training on a counter-balance forklift and a narrow-isle forklift. Students will receive a forklift certificate upon successful completion of this course.

If you are an experienced forklift operator, you will learn the safe operating principles required on the job. This course is available at your work site on a contract basis.

Load Securement and Adjustment

This course covers Federal and Provincial rules and regulations including proper tie-down procedures. Students must supply their own equipment.

* Minimum of 5 students is required to run this course.

Log Book Training

This course covers all the new regulations for the trucking industry including how to properly fill in log books and precautions to take on the job.

Longer Combination Vehicles

This course covers how to pull two trailers in excess of 25 meters long, including triple trailers, Rockys, and turnpikes. Students must supply their own equipment.

Professional Driver Improvement

This course is designed to promote safe and proficient driving. Drivers will be taught collision avoidance and pitfalls to look for to avoid accidents. It also covers topics including attitude, image, customer service, public relations, driver fitness, and more.

* Minimum of 5 students is required to run this course.

Tests can be done on any size vehicle. Students must have their own vehicle.

Safety Talks

This course consists of safety sessions delivered in 15-30 minute segments dealing with a wide variety of topics. These sessions are provided upon request. Topics range from vehicles, maintenance, accidents and accident reporting, equipment use and rules-of-the-road changes.

This course is for anyone pulling any type of trailer, including equipment trailers, holiday trailers, motor homes, etc. Students must supply their own vehicle.
