The Basic Life Support and Basic Life Support
Recertification courses offered at NorQuest College are Level
C courses geared for individuals who have a duty to respond
to medical emergencies in a medical environment. The courses
are intended for physicians, nurses, and paramedics who will
encounter cardiac arrest and regularly use advanced resuscitation
techniques. The courses include one- and two-rescuer CPR;
infant CPR and choking; use of the barrier device/pocket mask;
use of bag valve mask; assisted external defibrillation certification;
and artificial resuscitation.
