Develop
an understanding of the theory of project management and the
roles of various members of the project team. Acquire the
technical skills you need to assist as part of the project
team and carry out your role as the project coordinator. Certificate
available for completion of seven core courses.

Core Courses
Professional Relations I
Study the human dynamic within the project life cycle. Learn
about project politics, team building, problem solving, and
conflict control and resolution
Professional Relations II
Learn and practice the skills required to work successfully as a project team member.
Prerequisite: Professional Relations I
Business Communications II
Develop skills in preparing business reports, proposals and
business cases.
Project Management Overview and Planning
Gain an introduction to the fundamentals of project management
and planning and an overview of roles and duties of the project
team. Explore MS Project and learn basic skills. Study CPM/PERT
(Critical Path Method/Project Evaluation Review Technique)
and learn how this is used to plan a new project.
Project Budgeting and Costing
Learn basic accounting practices as well as budgeting and
how to manage project costs.
Collaborative Tools in Project Management
Learn to use a typical project management software program
(MS Project). Become familiar with the functions of project
planning and scheduling, resource allocation, costing, progress
monitoring and reporting.
Integrated Project
Consolidate the project knowledge you have and apply it in
a team project. This course is guided by an instructor who
monitors the team progress and provides guidance.
