Project – Intersections Phase 2

Intersections 2 will target the governance and management structures and processes that reflect organizational culture. The project team, led by Volunteer Alberta, will engage Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector organizations in an organizational change process to better position their workplace and volunteer environment as welcoming to new Canadians. Intersection 2 will be piloted with five organizations in Alberta. Volunteer centres will host and provide space for peer learning circles, videoconferencing and will act as a liaison between Immigrant Serving Organizations (ISO’s) and mainstream organizations to support relationship building and sharing of resources, knowledge and expertise. By increasing the ability and potential of volunteer centres to support Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector organizations, we are effectively increasing the capacity of the sector to create stronger, more inclusive organizations through community volunteerism.
