Testimonials

“There’s been an awakening. I can feel it! The benefits to our employees are clearly visible. There is a lot more awareness around effective communication practices between the various cultures, and certainly more respect among employees. We are not afraid to hire highly qualified people with language barriers because with NorQuest, we now have the resources to train them properly.”

Reza Nasseri
CEO, Landmark Master Builder

“Colt WorleyParsons, NorQuest and CoSyn have had a unique partnership for several years through a series of language and cultural development courses. These courses are designed to enhance the success and retention of our new employees from non English speaking countries. The courses have provided these valuable employees with opportunities to expand their English communication skills to improve their effectiveness, confidence and integration into Canadian culture on the job and in the community.”

Cindy St. George
Colt Worley Parsons

“There are clear benefits to improved communication in the workplace for the company’s bottom line. Misunderstandings between employees doing heavy industrial work can be dangerous and costly. The community also benefits because newcomers who have a better understanding of Canadian cultural issues will more easily integrate and are more likely to participate in community affairs.”

Tracey Derwing
Professor of Educational Psychology, University of Alberta, expert in language acquisition
